Monzo Loans FAQs

May I know what a “soft search” is?

This only applies to getting your loan quote. Monzo will search your credit profile, but this leaves no mark on your credit score. Also, no other lenders will see the results of the credit search. There’ll only be an impact on your credit score when you proceed with your application.

What will the rate be for my Monzo loan?

Monzo’s current APR is 8.8% for loans above £7,000, and 24% for loans below £7,000. Most customers will get these rates, but you may get a different rate from Monzo. This may be because of your credit history and personal circumstances.

Should I expect my payments on my Monzo loan to change every year?

Not at all. The fixed APR means you’ll only pay the same amount monthly until the loan ends. You can get a rough idea of that monthly amount with the Monzo loan calculator.

Can I top up on my Monzo loan?

Yes you can! You can only top up, though, if you’ve already had your loan for 6 months. You should also have not missed any payments on your loan.

Can I apply for a joint Monzo loan?

Sorry, Monzo doesn’t offer joint loans to applicants at this time.
